
In the late 1990s, the actor enjoyed a successful period as a frequent guest on the hit sitcom Friends in the role of the romantic partner of Monica Geller and receiving an Emmy nomination for the part. In the new millennium, Selleck starred in a variety of TV films, including the Jesse Stone series, in which the actor was the role of a New England police chief. The actor received yet another Emmy nod for the part and was also the an executive producer on the series. Selleck plays a police commissioner, who is part of the multigenerational family of officers in the Blue Bloods. The show premiered on CBS in 2010 and later revived. He was a part of the loved Three Men and a Baby together with Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg which became the top-grossing feature.
