Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy was born April 16 1996 in Miami Florida. She is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former bank executive, as well as Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist named Anya Taylor-Joy. The daughter is an Argentinean with Scottish, English and Argentinean descendance. Her mother comes from Spanish and English heritage. Taylor-Joy's siblings are four of her father's former marriage. They lived at Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy reached the age of six, later moving to Victoria district of London. Taylor Joy says that moving to England was a very difficult experience. Taylor Joy was unable to master English and hoped she could return to Argentina. Hill House became her school of choice after Taylor-Joy was ordered to move schools. In the following year, she joined Queen's Gate School to study dance and perform in school productions. When she was 16 she left school to take on a full-time job in acting. Taylor-Joy's desire to be an acting star began in the early years of her life. Sarah Doukas of Storm Management was the first one to hire her as an experienced model.
